Xbox Reveal: Call of Duty: Ghosts To Be Live

Call of Duty: Ghosts has been a major topic for the internet over the past weeks as many wait for the inevitable announcement of story, engine and characters for the game. While many outlets worldwide have been gearing up for the next Call of Duty, offering various bonuses, Activision has revealed interesting information about the upcoming Xbox Event this month.
On the official Call of Duty: Ghosts Facebook page, Activision posted an image. That image featured the well known picture of a man pulling on the famous skull emblazoned mask that the character Ghost, from Modern Warfare 2, wore. This was recently confirmed as the image for the box art as well as for the promotional posters for pre-ordering the game at certain retailers. Beside this is the now officially confirmed title of Call of Duty: Ghosts but what is below this is more interesting. The image reveals that the game will be shown live at the Xbox Event on the 21st of May 2013.
While this is not exactly out of the realms of possibility, as Microsoft’s Xbox has always been the platform of choice for the Call of Duty franchise and its downloadable content launches, it is confirmation that Microsoft has sought to extend this relationship with Activision. While the game will certainly come to Sony’s platforms and quite possibly to Nintendo’ Wii U, it does suggest that the Xbox 720 will continue the current trend of Microsoft gaining special privileges. Added to that, showing off the world’s best selling game in a gameplay capacity is a very good way to start a next generation console launch event. Here is the image:

From the promotional posters we know that Call of Duty: Ghosts will be released November 5th 2013. A press release has confirmed that the game will come to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and “next generation” platforms.
