"Xbox, Watch TV"

Today at the Next Xbox conference event, Microsoft announced that the next generation Xbox console, called the Xbox One, will have the ability to watch television from the home screen.

The host of the section Yusuf Mehdi revealed the feature in a section about the features of the next Xbox. He said to the console “Xbox, Watch TV” and the console instantly opened up the television capabilities of the console to watch the last television programme he was on. The console was able to use gestures and voice recognition to change channels and apps on the console. These were all available through the use of the next generation Kinect device which was revealed alongside the console design and controller.

Saying to the console the specific channels “Watch CBS” moved the channel of the television to the place that you want without the use of a remote control. There are also favorite channels and also there are trending channels such as things become trending on social networks.
