Expanding to Film! Quentin Tarantino Confirms New Rewritten History Film

Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained won Best Original Screenplay at the BAFTAs last Sunday. After receiving the award, he talked to journalists about his desire to film another film in the vein of Inglorious Basterds.
Basterds followed a group of Jewish soldiers led by a hilarious Brad Pitt. They travel across Germany taking out German soldiers wherever they see fit. Now, if you have seen the film (if you haven’t… Watch it this very second!) you will know certain aspects of the film re-write historical understanding of World War 2. Django Unchained, the second film of the trilogy, depicts a violent and loud-mouthed view of slavery in America in 1858. This view of history is something Tarantino wants to explore further.
He was quoted (Thanks, Guardian) as saying “This [rewritten history theme] begs a trilogy, it begs to have a third movie on this theme, I haven’t decided about what yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised.”
We had previously reported on Tarantino writing a spin-off from Inglorious Basterds called Killer Crow. Could this be what he is hinting at? Or will he choose another time period entirely?
