Sam Mendes to Return For Bond 24

Skyfall has become the biggest Bond film ever, and it’s director wants another shot at it (if you pardon the pun).
According to Daily Mail, Mendes was reluctant at first because of writer John Logan planning a two-part story. This would have been a considerable amount of time to spend with one franchise and so Mendes backed out. Apparently, the plan has been dropped and the story will span a single film.
Daily Mail says that while there is no firm deal in place they are ‘75 per cent’ certain of his return to the franchise, presumably after the script is finalized.
If all goes well we may see another Bond film in the next two years rather than the four-year wait that came between Quantum of Solace and Skyfall.
